The Winston-Salem area housing market has been in decline the last few years much like the rest of the country. There were 4843 houses sold in 2010, which was down 5.1% from 5104 homes sold during 2009. The statistics were taken from a combined total of Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Stokes, and Yadkin Counties.
