Home Staging and Curb Appeal for Dummies

If you are trying to sell your home, it’s important that it is staged well and has nice curb appeal. That’s not easy for everyone, so we wanted to give sellers a 5 tips to help. So take note and use these strategies to improve the chance of selling your home. These are so easy, that even a dummy can do it.

1. Make Your Home an Animal House.

Many first time home buyers have just graduated from college. And we’ve all missed college life at some point, so this strategy will appeal to many home buyers. Besides, what were you going to do with all of those stuffed animals your kids have outgrown?

2. Plant Some Fresh Flowers
Freshen up the outside with some fresh flowers.

3. Fix Up Around The House

It always helps to fix anything that is broken around the house. The best thing to do is call a handy man and have him fix those items. However, if funds are tight, then at least get out the duct tape. As you can see below, you can use it to fix anything!

4. Get Rid of Offensive Odors by Baking a Cake or Lighting Some Candles

This is a great tip when you have a showing scheduled. A scented candle or freshly baked cake always makes a home more inviting.

Nothing like the smell of deer cake.

Scented candles are great to cover up Dad's farts.

5. If your home is vacant, fill it with mannequins to make it feel like a real family lives there.

Well, we said this was so easy a dummy could do it, so here’s the proof.

Dummies can really make a home "feel like a home". Especially if it has a Santa hat on.

Dummies with feather boas make a home feel "sexy."
